Watchlist

On the radar

  • Londolozi

10 April 2027 if the Kruger/Sabi Sand slot can expand without a triple cluster beside Ebony and Royal Malewane

Michelin’s first Africa Keys gave Three Keys to exactly two South African safari addresses — Royal Malewane and Londolozi. Relais & Châteaux membership since 1993 is the second independent editorial stack. Held off the inaugural 15 to avoid a triple Kruger/Sabi Sand lead; strongest safari swap if a seat opens.

  • Hôtel de Crillon

10 April 2027 if Michelin lifts Crillon to Three Keys or the T+L Europe city rank still outruns George V/Ritz on a second independent stack

Travel + Leisure World’s Best 2025 ranked Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel, #4 among Europe city hotels (reader score 98.44) and #2 in Paris. Michelin still has it at Two Keys versus Three Keys at George V and Ritz Paris — that gap is why it sits on watch, not the inaugural palace-city four.

  • Soneva Fushi

10 April 2027 if the Maldives slot can expand beyond Cheval Blanc Randheli without doubling the atoll lane

Michelin Three Keys — the other of only two Maldives properties at that tier, with Randheli. World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 ranked it #28 and gave it the SeiBellissimi Art of Hospitality Award. Held because Randheli already covers the Maldives resort seat.

  • The Connaught

10 April 2027 if a 2026–27 Robb or second editorial stack outpaces Claridge’s quieter-sibling problem

Michelin Three Keys in the 2025 Great Britain & Ireland selection — same London heritage tier as Claridge’s. World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 has The Connaught at #29 versus Claridge’s at #16; Robb Report 2026 put Claridge’s at global #7 and did not put The Connaught in that top ten. Quieter house, thinner 2026 ranking stack — watch, not a second Maybourne lead.

  • Kokomo Private Island

10 April 2027 if Fiji private-island can take a second seat beside COMO Laucala

Condé Nast Traveler’s Kokomo page carries Hot List 2018, Gold List 2024, RCA 2020–2025 and CNT Triple Crown — the independent Fiji private-island stack. Held because Laucala already occupies the Fiji island seat; a second Fijian island would pad the 15.

  • Aman New York

10 April 2027 if a thicker independent 2024–26 editorial stack lands beyond Michelin Three Keys and the Aman brand halo

Michelin’s 2025 US Key selection retains Three Keys at Aman New York — one of four New York Three-Keys, in the Crown Building. The second approved 2024–26 editorial stack is thinner than Amangiri’s Gold List 2026 + Utah-only Three-Key pairing, which is why the city Aman sits on watch rather than splitting the Aman seat.

  • Mandarin Oriental Bangkok

10 April 2027 if an Asia palace-city slot opens besides Rosewood Hong Kong

Michelin’s 2025 Thailand Key selection retains Three Keys at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok (one of six Thai Three-Keys; one of two in Bangkok, with The Siam). World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025 ranked it #7 worldwide. Asia palace slot on this inaugural list is already taken by Rosewood Hong Kong (sole HK Three-Key).

  • Four Seasons Bora Bora

10 April 2027 if Michelin upgrades it to Three Keys or The Brando’s South Pacific private-island seat is vacated

Michelin’s inaugural Oceania Keys gave Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora Two Keys (Oct 2025) against Three Keys at The Brando. Travel + Leisure World’s Best 2025 ranked it #3 South Pacific resorts (reader score 86.40; WBA Hall of Fame). South Pacific private-island is already covered by The Brando; this is the overwater-bungalow swap, not a second Polynesian lead.
