Why it is here
Golf Digest America's 100 Greatest 2025–26 ranks Shinnecock Hills No. 4 in the United States, preserving its Hamptons links pedigree among the country's sternest championship tests. GOLF Magazine's 2025–26 World Top 100 (GOLF.com, 19 Nov 2025) places it No. 5 worldwide. Together those panels fix Shinnecock as a globally renowned private destination where wind, firm turf, and major-championship history define the experience more than resort amenity.
Who it is for
Private-club travelers and Open week spectators; not a public tee sheet.
