Cooper Clinic Executive Health

The only US executive-physical site whose routine clinic protocol produced multi-decade, guideline-shaping epidemiology, rather than a hospital brochure.

Why it is here

Blair et al. in JAMA (1989) followed 10,224 men and 3,120 women given a Cooper preventive exam plus maximal treadmill and showed fitness quintiles associated with all-cause, cardiovascular, and cancer mortality, putting the clinic’s Balke protocol into epidemiology rather than a brochure. Durstenfeld et al. in the Journal of the American Heart Association (2025) still run the Cooper Center Longitudinal Study from the Dallas clinic, with 4,005 adults and at least two CRF tests from 2017–2023. Those papers measure cardiorespiratory fitness and mortality; they are not a proof that the commercial executive package extends lifespan. The clinic is private; Joint Commission is not claimed. CCLS is cited across 700+ papers. The vendor executive-health page supports the one-day physician-led product with on-site labs, imaging, cardiology, and GI.

Who it is for

Patients who want a one-day preventive exam whose treadmill protocol is actually in the medical literature, not a genome-and-MRI membership.
