The Saudi Cup

The world's richest race. Young, but already top-rated at its distance, with a repeat champion in 2026.

Why it is here

Forever Young became the first dual winner of the $20 million Saudi Cup on 14 February 2026 (Thoroughbred Daily News, 2026-02-14; The Straits Times, 2026-08-14). In the IFHA's 2025 review the Saudi Cup rated 121.00 and was the top-rated race in the mile category (IFHA, 2026-01-20). The Straits Times reports that the 2026–27 Riyadh season builds to Saudi Cup day on 6 February 2027. Score drivers: sporting level 9.0 from the top mile rating; prestige 8.6, because the purse is unmatched but the race has little history yet. Exclusivity, social and experience are not scored.

Who it is for

Owners and fans who want the richest single race in the sport and an early-season international clash.
